Breast lift , otherwise known as mastopexy is  surgery that raises and firms the
breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to
reshape and support the breasts.  Most of the Dallas breast lift patients seen by Dr. Sam Jejurikar, board certified plastic surgeon, have experienced significant changes to their breast after pregnancy and breast feeding. Although breastfeeding in a wonderful bonding experience between mother and child, it can have profoundly negative effects on the breasts, leaving many women with saggy skin and enlarged areola (pigmented skin surrounding the nipple).

If this describes you, breast lift can do wonders for your breasts! A breast lift
rejuvenates your figure with a breast profile that is youthful and
uplifted.  Many women choose to get simultaneous breast augmentation, either with silicone or saline breast implants. Not only can breast implants increase the size of your breasts, but they can restore fullness to the upper portions of the breasts.

What incisions are used for a breast lift? Generally, three incision patterns are utilized. The first is a circumareolar incision, or an incision which is around the areola. This is useful when only a small lift is required and most often is utilized in conjunction with placement of a breast implant. The second is a circumvertical incision, or an incision around the areola extending vertical from the areola to the crease below the breast. This is the most common incision utilized by Dr. Jejurikar for breast lift for changes resulting from breast feeding. The third is an anchor pattern incision, or an incision around the areola, vertically from the areola to the crease below the breast, and horizontally within the crease at the base of the breast. This usually is reserved for the most severe cases. To see cartoons of these incisions, follow this link.
