The patient is a very nice 41-year-old woman who had a very large hernia of the abdominal wall, located adjacent to and below the umbilicus (belly button). She also had generalized laxity (looseness) of the abdominal wall related to pregnancy, as well as stretch marks and skin excess. She underwent a hernia repair with mesh, performed by a general surgeon, as well as a tummy tuck, performed by Dr. Jejurikar. A small amount of flank (love handle) liposuction was performed during the same operation. She is seen 6 months after her tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) with a flat, slim abdominal wall and no residual hernia.
