The Procedure
Male breast reduction surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes one to three hours. Dr. Jejurikar employs several techniques to perform male breast reduction depending on your goals and which procedures you feel comfortable with:
- Liposuction, if the enlarged breasts are primarily caused by excess fatty tissue, or
- In the presence of excess glandular tissue, the tissue will be surgically removed and liposuction performed.
Recovery
Following male breast reduction surgery, you might experience bruising, swelling, and discomfort for a few days.
