Dallas Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Twice lauded in D Magazine’s annual “Best Doctors and Pediatric Specialists in Dallas” list, board-certified Dallas, Texas-based Dr. Sam Jejurikar performs general and cosmetic plastic surgery with a specialized focus on reconstructive and aesthetic procedures.
Dr. Jejurikar earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan. As a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Dr. Jejurikar received a medical diploma from the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Sam Jejurikar’s post-graduate medical education was followed by a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. He then went on to receive further training at the renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital with a subspecialty in aesthetic surgery. Dr. Jejurikar also recently earned his Executive MBA from the SMU Cox School of Business.
To help patients define and achieve realistic expectations for plastic surgery of the face, eyes, nose, and body, Dr. Jejurikar’s practice, the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, utilizes state-of-the-art 3D preview imaging technology for such procedures as breast augmentation/reduction, tummy tuck, “mommy makeover,” liposuction, rhinoplasty, facelifts, and hair transplants.
Advanced education, research, and firsthand patient care have also led Dr. Jejurikar to launch a signature skincare line that addresses such common dermatological issues as loss of elasticity, fine lines, and dark circles. These products are also available at the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute.
Dr. Sam Jejurikar’s Plastic Surgery Background
Through his affiliations with the Dallas Day Surgery Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, and Texas Health Surgery Center Dallas, Dr. Jejurikar routinely performs general procedures for medically necessary reconstructive surgery of the face and hands. With the goal of restoring the highest function and most aesthetically pleasing outcomes possible, given the particular circumstances of each case, Dr. Jejurikar is tasked with repairing and/or replacing bone, skin, and other tissues and microsurgical intervention.
Dr. Sam Jejurikar appears as a co-author on numerous collaborative research articles published in such scholarly titles as the Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Annals of Plastic Surgery, Journal of Surgical Research, and Microsurgery. His insights have also been featured in mainstream scientific and medical publications, including Science World Report, Health Tech Zone, and Healthcare Business Today.
Dr. Jejurikar currently serves as an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. Per their charter, as a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Jejurikar consistently “strives to represent the high ethical and moral standards of the ABCS… and adhere to the ABCS and AMA guidelines regarding the ethical practice of cosmetic surgery, including advertising and representations to the public, and to practice the highest standard of patient care and safety at all times.”
Throughout his career, Dr. Jejurikar has been committed to treating each of his patients with respect and dignity. “I recognize each patient is different, so I take a caring, meticulous approach to plastic surgery,” he says. “This allows me to craft both surgical and non-invasive solutions for my patients’ individual needs.”
In addition to building a thriving practice, Dr. Jejurikar’s philanthropic beliefs have become an integral cornerstone of his work — one for which he believes in taking on a truly hands-on approach. “My training has also opened up opportunities to give back,” he says. As a result, Dr. Jejurikar regularly participates in several medical missions, including an annual trip to treat impoverished children with Smile Bangladesh.
