Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Rejuvenate and Restore Your Skin with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Microneedling with PRP rapidly rejuvenates your skin

If you’ve considered microneedling to rejuvenate your face and reduce the signs of aging, consider adding Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to your procedure. PRP has proven to be extremely valuable in reconstructive surgery, dentistry, and other medical treatments because of its regeneration benefits. Plasma contains a very high concentration of stem cells and growth factors and is present in your own blood. During a PRP procedure, we will draw your blood and separate the plasma from red and white blood cells so we can use it as part of your skin rejuvenation procedure.

Key Benefits of PRP

  • Activates skin cell regeneration
  • Visibly reduces signs of aging
  • Stimulates circulation
  • Improves skin elasticity and firmness
  • Improves texture and tone of the skin
  • Results after one treatment
  • Progressive results as the skin renews and regenerates
  • No surgery or sutures involved

  • How Microneedling with PRP Works

Platelet Rich Plasma is rich with growth factors that stimulate healing and cell regeneration. When we perform a procedure like microneedling that causes small wounds and punctures in the skin, adding PRP to the treatment area can help to speed up the healing process and support cell renewal.  PRP also contains stem cells and other bioactive factors that promote tissue repair. As a result, you’ll notice a significant improvement in the texture and tone of your skin as your skin starts to heal.

The procedure begins with a quick blood draw. We will put your blood through a centrifuge to separate the red and white blood cells from plasma. We can then use this plasma as part of your treatment, either as a serum on top of the skin after each round of microneedling, or by performing the microneedling procedure with a small amount of PRP so that the plasma is ‘injected’ into the tissues as we create the wounds.

You may notice some redness for several days after PRP. Even though there is blood involved, you will not be bleeding or have any type of deep scarring from this procedure. Your skin will heal and regenerate within weeks of a single treatment and you’ll notice a visible reduction in lines, wrinkles, pore size, and skin discoloration.

Most patients undergo a series of treatments every few months to achieve optimal results.
