Hyperbaric Oxygen at Foundry

Hyperbaric Oxygen at FoundryOxygen is what healing tissue wants most. Foundry delivers it, under pressure, minutes from our office.

What Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) surrounds you with oxygen at greater-than-normal atmospheric pressure, dramatically increasing the amount of oxygen your blood can carry to healing tissue.

Surgeons have used hyperbaric medicine for decades to support compromised wounds and grafts. More recently, aesthetic surgery patients have embraced it for a simpler reason: healing tissue is hungry for oxygen, and HBOT feeds it. Sessions are relaxing, roughly an hour long, spent reclining in a private, pressurized chamber while you rest, listen to music, or nap.

Why Dr. Jejurikar Recommends It After Surgery

  • Supports oxygen delivery to skin flaps and incisions while new blood supply matures
  • May help reduce swelling and bruising in the early recovery period
  • Complements the rest of Dr. Jejurikar’s enhanced recovery protocol
  • A dedicated medical team oversees every session

HBOT is an optional part of recovery, never a requirement. Patients who choose it typically complete a short series of sessions in the first weeks after procedures such as facelifts, breast surgery, tummy tucks, and body contouring. Dr. Jejurikar will tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your specific operation.

About Foundry

Foundry Hyperbaric & Wellness Lab at Park Lane is a physician-founded hyperbaric and wellness center located just moments from our office, purpose-built to serve surgical patients from the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute community and beyond. Sessions are physician-directed and administered in modern, comfortable chambers under the supervision of Foundry’s medical team, led by its Chief Medical Officer, a physician specializing in wound healing and hyperbaric medicine.

Plan Your Sessions

Foundry schedules surgical-recovery packages directly, and our team will coordinate timing with your procedure date so sessions land where they help most. In the interest of full transparency: Dr. Jejurikar is a co-founder and part owner of Foundry, and he recommends it for the same reason he built it, because he wanted his own patients to have it.

Hyperbaric FAQ

What does a session feel like?
Like resting in a quiet, pressurized cabin. You may feel your ears adjust, similar to an airplane, as pressure changes at the start and end. Most patients read, listen to music, or sleep.

How many sessions will I need?
Most surgical-recovery patients complete a short series in the first weeks after surgery. The Foundry team will recommend a schedule based on your procedure and Dr. Jejurikar’s guidance.

Is HBOT safe?
HBOT is well established and well tolerated when administered under medical supervision, as it is at Foundry. A screening review is completed before your first session, and certain conditions can make HBOT inappropriate, which is part of the screening.

Can I use Foundry if I am not a surgical patient?
Yes. Foundry serves wellness clients as well as surgical-recovery patients. Visit foundryhyperbaric.com for offerings and scheduling.
